Kevin Mullins – Playwright

Kevin Mullins is a playwright and theatre artist from Boston. His play A Southern Victory: 4282982_origBorders and Nations was a finalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, PlayPenn, the Princess Grace Award, and the WordBRIDGE Playwrights Lab. His plays have been presented or developed with Slant of Light Theatre, Flat Earth Theatre, Vagabond Theatre Group, Mill 6 Productions, Wax Wings Productions, Interim Writers, Fresh INK Theatre, Happy Medium Theatre, Argos Productions, The International Anarchist Theatre Festival of Montreal, The Incubator Arts Project and Boston Public Works. He has participated in a Pataphysics workshop at The Flea Theatre in NYC and has a MFA in dramatic writing from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a founding member of Boston Public Works and of Flat Earth Theatre.

James Peter Sotis – Director

James is the Founder and Artistic Director of Vagabond Theatre Group. He is a director, designer, and erstwhile actor originally haiCaptureling from Ipswich, Massachusetts. James has directed VTG’s IRNE-nominated productions of Burning the Barn and Burning Up the Dictionary, as well as the Norton nominated Breaking the Shakespeare Code, and the IRNE-and-Norton nominated Two Boys Lost (the later for Stickball Productions).

Other directing credits include The Unfortunate Cutthroats, True Believers, and Supergravity and the Eleventh Dimension. Recent projects include Bogboy (Staged Reading) with Solas Nua in Boston, VTG’s own TWBW readings, a 10-play selection at the Boston One-Minute Play Festival, and numerous pieces for SHOTZ Boston. James holds a degree in Film & Television from Boston University.

Zach Winston – Producer | VTG Literary Manager


Zach Winston has been working with Vagabond Theatre Group in various capacities since 2009 including performances in A Skull in Connemara, True Believers, August and Autumn, writingThe Unfortunate Cutthroats, and directing Fortune’s Favored. For about two years, A Southern Victory has been teetering back-and-forth in production purgatory, and Zach could not be more thrilled to see this extraordinary story come to life with each and every one of these talented, dedicated, and hard-working artists on board.


Deirdre Benson – Sound Designer

Deirdre Benson is a Boston based stage manager, production manager and sound designer. She is an Artistic Associate with imaginary beasts and is a part time Stage Manager with the Boston company of The Blue Man Group.

Anne Rossman – Fights and Violence Coordinator

Anne Rossman is a Fight and Violence Coordinator in the greater Boston area. She received her BFA at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she certified with the Society of American Fight Directors as an Advanced Actor Combatant. She continues her exploration of combat and movement in the practice of several forms of martial arts including French Small Sword, and German Longsword fencing, along with Kung fu, and Krav Maga. Her recent credits include The Man From Willow’s Brook (Wax Wings), A Study in Pink (GDP Productions) MORT (New Paradise Laboratories)

Cara Pacifico – Costume Designer

Cara Pacifico is a costume designer, properties designer, and dramaturg.  Her premiere costuming work includes that of Matthew Vest’s opera The Hourglass with Juventas New Music Ensemble and Larry Bell’s Holy Ghosts at Berklee School of Music.   She is an alumn of Tufts University and of the dramaturgy program at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. Connor S. Van Ness – Lighting Designer

Connor specializes in theatrical and concert lighting design. Previously at the BPT: Bully Dance with Argos Productions. Concert work includes recent Boston tour dates for Art Garfunkel, Citizen Cope, War, Tower of Power, among others. BFA Theatre Arts (Lighting Design, Technical Direction), Hofstra University ’12.
